Flatback Tape Supplier
A Versatile Paper Tape
Flatback Tapes are general-purpose, economical paper tapes that are sturdier than masking tapes. They are traditionally brown or tan, as one of their main purposes was to match the corrugated boxes they seal.
Applications
Carton Sealing
Because they can be torn by hand, flatback tapes are excellent for carton sealing applications or wrapping applications, in instances where brown kraft flatback paper is used to wrap a product, such as a framed picture. Their adhesive system is typically a blend of natural or synthetic rubber adhesive systems, making them excellent for a wide range of temperature and humidity conditions.
Splicing and Core Starting
Because of their excellent holding power and the fact that they are easy to start by hand, flatback tapes are ideal for roll start-up, splicing together materials, or end tabbing applications for materials that are wound on a mandrel. They can also be used for flagging or holding materials together temporarily during manufacturing. They are used heavily in the paper mills and corrugated
Other Applications
Printable, high adhesion flatbacks are also well suited for full-web flexographic equipment, plate mounting and color coding.
